Phillip began his career as a telecommunications engineer in the Royal Australian Air Force, specialising in radio, air traffic control, and tactical communications systems. He then held project and engineering roles deploying and supporting telecommunications networks and services, led design and delivery project teams in the Victorian rail industry, and managed rail control standards and systems engineering within the Department of Transport.
Phillip has been involved in many projects requiring systems integration where effective team communication and engagement has been pivotal to successfully identifying and resolving design and project issues. Delivery of the complex enterprise network services required to support SJOG Berwick Hospital clinical, administrative and engineering functions relied upon the establishment of trust within a multi-disciplinary team. This team comprised Stantec and SJOG staff working collegiately with the builder to deploy a range of technologies and processes, for which the project received the BICSI Award for Best Infrastructure Project over $250K in 2017.
When he isn’t at work, you might find Phillip cycling, doing home maintenance or attempting to master one of several musical instruments.
