Sylvia is a geotechnical engineer and team lead with over a decade of professional experience in the fields of consulting and research and development. She’s been involved with a wide range of geotechnical projects ranging from dam safety and geotechnical investigations for bridges and buildings, to slope stability analyses.
If you ask her, Sylvia will tell you that her favorite part of her work is when she gets the opportunity to dig into a unique or complex project—she loves using data and history to immerse herself in her work and develop creative solutions. Sylvia is known for really committing to these unique challenges, being excited to do something new, and her dedication to doing what it takes to get it right.
Outside of work, you’re likely to find Sylvia baking up something delicious, or enjoying one of her three favorite hobbies: hockey, hiking, and home brewing.
