Michael’s work starts with an interactive decision support process—during which, he and his clients collaborate to identify potential decision points and their long-term financial consequences. However, as a leader in our Financial Services group, Michael is known for his financial planning and rate-making expertise in the Water sector. He’s also responsible for marketing, project management, project execution, and the development of our general fund practice.
Michael was recently called in to the City of Fort Lauderdale to assess significant cash flow deficits in their general fund. Through our Integrated Financial Sustainability modeling analysis, Michael and his team assisted the City Commission in identifying cost reductions and revenue enhancements that would eliminate their cash flow deficits and put the city on a path to long-term financial stability.
“Financial planning is an empowering process that has resulted in close, long-term relationships with my clients at the staff level as well as at the governing board level,” says Michael.
A horse farm owner, Michael will most likely be spending his off-time completing construction projects like fence building and barn building or relaxing with a little fishing, boating, or golfing.
