Julie Byrd

Business Development Leader

Photo of Julie

With more than 15 years of cultural resource management experience, Julie has been responsible for approximately 700 archaeological and historical projects across the Southeastern United States. From her experience working at the Florida Division of Historical Resources, she gained a thorough understanding of agency needs and the State Historic Preservation Office’s review process.

Julie believes that life thrives at the community level and finds projects that enable a community’s culture to grow and thrive to be the most rewarding. Whether a large-scale survey of Civil Rights sites in Montgomery, Alabama, or the development of a commercial district’s corner lot, she seeks out projects that have direct and local impacts.

When she isn’t working, Julie likes exploring public lands across Florida, books, new parks with her dog, hidden corners of urban St. Pete, and--most of all—people.
