With her knowledge of numerous grant funding streams, she guides the application process, which can be cumbersome for communities lacking the staff and capacity. These communities face challenges such as providing residents with clean, safe drinking water, waste facilities, transportation, and affordable housing.
Over 27 years, Lisa has cultivated a unique and valuable skillset for this role. Combining project management, grant management, creative communication, and engineering, she executes competitive funding applications that get the attention of funders. In the past five years, she has supported over 100 successful applications, procuring over $30 million in funding for infrastructure projects.
She is passionate about how her work as a grant specialist and project manager provides operational tools to meet technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements of projects, as well as providing opportunities for communities to build safer and healthier societies.
Away from work, she enjoys touring with her husband on their Goldwing motorcycle, traveling to various cities around the country. She also enjoys playing basketball and watching her daughter play the sport on her high-school team.
