Jason’s favorite part about his job is problem solving. He gets a feeling of satisfaction of helping others solve their issues and accomplish their tasks.
As a CAD Systems Specialist in Stantec’s Alberta South region, Jason is responsible for providing CAD support needs for multiple design disciplines simultaneously. He doesn’t just see his role as helping people use the CAD software, but to make it easier for others to do their work, implement their own ideas about how to use technology better, and increase efficiencies.
With more than 20 years of experience and a background in pipeline design, Jason has a robust understanding of the design process beyond using the CAD software. This allows him to fully understand the needs of the design group he is supporting, while anticipating their future needs.
Currently, Jason is working with the marketing team to implement virtual reality with design projects to help further solve issues in the design phase for his team and for Stantec’s clients.
