As technical discipline lead for Mechanical and EICA Engineering, Dan brings sound knowledge and expertise in new and innovative energy processes associated with energy/carbon neutral wastewater assets. Leading the design delivery of renewable energy projects on wastewater treatment plants, Dan is driving through the significant change toward digital design and delivery in the UK.
With 19 years of design experience, Dan specialises in designing and constructing water and wastewater treatment facilities, with expertise in advanced sludge treatment technology, thermal hydrolysis plants (THP), anaerobic digestion, liquor treatment processes, activated sludge plants, sludge incineration and biogas/biomethane applications. Dan has recently been leading an innovative approach to asset management for one of our major UK Water Clients.
Dan says he enjoys the consulting industry most because it has allowed him to continually learn and grow as he has progressed his career. He is currently responsible for a UK team of 70 engineers and involved in leading Stantec’s digital strategy, design technology and multimedia visualisation.
A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Dan also holds a BE/BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
