Ian’s approach to design is hands-on, personable, and collaborative. He prefers to see the whole picture of each project and works to design energy-efficient mechanical systems that align with the overall intent. In his position, Ian is focused on enhancing designs and client experiences, working on strategic projects, and increasing project outcomes in the industrial market.
Working on projects across North America, Ian has managed multidisciplinary technical teams to deliver industrial building projects up to $450 million in construction value. His experience includes master planning, conceptual and detailed design, value engineering, procurement, construction, and warranty and maintenance. Ian has been part of the project management team delivering two major projects in British Columbia: the Elkview Valley Operations Administration and Maintenance Complex for Teck Resources, and the E-One Moli Energy battery manufacturing plant.
Translating his collaborative spirit to his life outside work, Ian enjoys playing competitive ultimate frisbee and hockey.
