Jin kyung Cho
Associate, Architect
Jin is an American Institute of Architects (AIA) associate and designer who brings together art, architecture, and urbanism to create thoughtful, user-focused design solutions. In her position, she contributes to facade design, building systems coordination, and visual storytelling from concept to schematic design.
Currently, Jin is focused on the Hato Rey Courthouse project. There, she’s designing and detailing exterior façade systems and previously supported Columbia University project through complex structural and mechanical coordination withing an active campus setting, identifying a design option that save millions in budget while preserving investment in shared collaborative spaces.
Recognized for her leadership in public engagement, Jin is a recipient of the 15th Annual Women in Architecture Recognition Award. She holds a master of science degree in advanced architectural design at Cornell University and a bachelor of architecture degree from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Outside the office, Jin explores New York City by bike, paints in watercolor, and plays softball with S.L.A.M (Softball League Aprés Moderne) League––the premier softball league for NYC architecture and design firms.
