An architect and a committed Kamloops community member for over 20 years, Brian profoundly enjoys both the professional and personal rewards of his work. From hearing the collective “wow” of the first group of school children to walk through his Tournament Capital of Canada project, to the personal satisfaction of designing healing spaces at Royal Inland Hospital that contribute to improved patient outcomes, Brian takes enormous pride in the contributions that he makes to his community.
“The best part of my day is when I get to walk my son to his school,” says Brian. That’s not to say he doesn’t find his work rewarding—far from it.
As managing principal for Stantec’s Kamloops office, Brian feels a responsibility for all the work that leaves his office. His wide-ranging knowledge always brings a unique perspective to the design process, and his commitment to mentoring students ensures that his insights will inspire the next generation of citizens—including his son.
