As the healthcare sector leader for Stantec in British Columbia with over 30 years of design and project management experience, Brian brings a unique perspective to the design process. Also, his commitment to mentoring students ensures that his insights will inspire the next generation of citizens—including his son.
“The best part of my day is when I get to walk my son to his school,” says Brian. Though that’s not to say he doesn’t find his work rewarding—far from it.
Brian is passionate about his projects, everything from being principal in charge of one of the most sustainable campuses in Canada—Thompson Rivers University Chappell Family Building for Nursing and Population Health—to the design of healing spaces at hospitals in Kelowna and Vernon. His designs have greatly contributed to improved patient outcomes, and Brian takes enormous pride in the contributions that he makes to his community.
