As a regional leader in transportation, Nick is responsible for creating an environment for staff to thrive and engage across disciplines to develop creative solutions to today’s civic challenges. With a specialty in bridges, he spends his days ensuring the safety of structures throughout North America through traditional and innovative structural inspection techniques.
Including work on long-span bridges, Nick has performed or managed tens of thousands of National Bridge Index and element level bridge and tunnel inspections. He’s worked on bridges like the O’Callaghan-Tillman (Hoover Dam Bypass) bridge and tunnels like the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels.
Nick is also a purveyor of computer and software programming. As the innovator behind the development of a risk-based asset management logic system, Nick has created performance-measures, deterioration projections, repair strategies, and funding criteria to effectively complete benefit-cost analyses.
This logic system predicts project and funding needs to meet and maintain performance measures and minimizes the potential for costly and unnecessary maintenance for Nick’s clients.
