Chris is a chartered physicist with over 20 years of experience delivering nuclear safety case and risk management services across the nuclear sector.
Specializing in the development and implementation of safety case strategies, Chris focuses on the management and delivery of complex safety assessments and the production of key safety case documentation. He’s also an experienced facilitator and chair of hazard identification and risk assessment workshops. His recent experience includes leading the production and delivery of safety cases for new build facilities, facility upgrades and periodic reviews within the nuclear fuel cycle. Chris is also, providing project management and technical coordination for multidisciplinary teams, supporting periodic safety reviews and ongoing safety case development for legacy nuclear facilities.
Chris has supported Canadian Nuclear Laboratories as safety case delivery technical lead for the Advanced Nuclear Materials Research Centre project and is the lead author for the hot cell facility safety case. He provides independent advice on good practice across the UK nuclear industry, and leads Stantec UK's Nuclear Safety Case and Criticality teams, bringing together diverse expertise to deliver high-quality, practical solutions to some of the industry's most complex technical challenges.
