Charline is a certified senior architectural technologist and sustainable buildings consultant in our Buildings group. She works with our Atlantic offices to provide sustainable services, and she has wide-ranging experience with international green building standards including LEED (USGBC), LEED Canada (CaGBC), BOMA, and Green Globes rating systems.
She has facilitated over a dozen LEED projects in Atlantic Canada over ten years, and she was part of the team that delivered the first LEED certified building under the Newfoundland and Labrador Build Better Buildings (BBB) initiative. She also worked on the Deep Energy Retrofit Study to achieve carbon neutrality for existing buildings, which fits into a larger federal mandate that intends to drastically reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of Canada by 2030.
In her spare time, Charline continues to pursue her interest in sustainability. She’s been involved with the national Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) as a technical advisory group (TAG) member, a board member, and past chair (four years) for the Atlantic chapter. For her volunteer work, she won the national CaGBC Chapter Leadership award in 2015. She also received a best New Construction award in 2017 for her design of the interior fit-out work for Il Trullo, a restaurant which she and her husband co-own.
