The beaches of Tofino. That’s where Neil unwinds from his travels across Canada in support of our power and energy sector. As a senior vice president and business leader for Canada’s environmental services practice, he provides technical leadership and guidance for renewable and non-renewable generation and electrical transmission and distribution projects.
Working in challenging regulatory environments, such as major infrastructure development across the prairies, he looks to others for inspiration. The example of selfless coaching and direction to others from Stantec’s own Jeff Green is Neil’s aspiration for professional conduct and technical proficiency.
Specializing in project scoping, regulatory advice, environmental assessment, and mitigation, he has also given expert testimony at regulatory hearings. Neil believes that listening is the best quality a consultant can have. Doing it well allows you to reflect, organize a plan, and execute as a team. Thinking is cheap, so it’s best to do a lot upfront.
