Brady Cosgrove

Technical Director, Fire

Photo of Brady

As a principal fire engineer, Brady has been instrumental in the growth and direction of our Buildings group for almost three decades. His work ranges from buildings in Antarctica to wildfire risk management, museum asset protection, and large-scale event facilities. His expertise includes fire engineering design, fire protection systems design, passive fire detailed design, and associated construction monitoring.

Some of Brady’s notable projects involved working on Christchurch’s Airport Terminal Redevelopment, The Terraces hospitality precinct, the Remarkables Ski Field Day Facility, and the University of Otago School of Medicine. He finds it especially fulfilling to have been involved in many projects in the wider Canterbury region following the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes and to see the positive impact on the wider community.

Brady has received various awards for project and academic success, including from the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) and Property Council New Zealand. He’s also been honored as a fellow with Engineering New Zealand.

When he isn’t leading projects, Brady indulges his other passions—travel, vintage cars, skiing, boating, landscape gardening, and hiking. His goal is to tackle the Te Araroa trail.
