With over two decades of experience in business management and administration—and a master’s degree in sustainability management—Gonzalo leads Stantec's operations in Latin America. There, he provides strategic direction and vision to help sustainable growth in the region.
Passionate about accelerating the energy transition and addressing climate change, Gonzalo has worked with multinational companies on early-stage decision making and the management of complex, capital-intensive projects related to sustainable development across Latin America. His focus has been primarily on mining, energy, oil and gas, renewables, infrastructure and urban development.
Gonzalo’s experience sits at the intersection of capital projects, strategic decision making and risk, supporting sustainable development initiatives and long-term value creation. He has strong capabilities in change management, strategic leadership, business development and innovation.
With a very close-knit family, Gonzalo has four young children who he loves to spend time with. He also enjoys playing sports and traveling to new places.
