John has been active in the environmental engineering and consulting field for over 30 years. His background and interest in the geological sciences has provided a platform to apply his passion for science and engineering in numerous ways. Current responsibilities include leading our offshore wind consulting business in the renewable energy sector, and as manager of the program, he’s responsible for business development initiatives as well as program and project management. John works very closely with the Environmental Services and Power Engineering groups within Stantec, delivering solutions to our offshore wind clients.
Recent projects include consulting on the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) construction and operation plans, offshore wind industry supply chain studies for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), port infrastructure evaluations, offshore environmental modeling for the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), and power transmission evaluations for offshore wind developers. As a pioneer in the offshore wind industry in the United States, John was on the team that permitted, engineered, and built the first US offshore wind staging facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
John’s interests outside work include spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities like golf, skiing, hiking, and deep-sea fishing.
