James is a senior planner with more than nine years of experience working in both the public and private sectors. His experience in local authority and planning consultancy has allowed him to gain a great understanding of the processes and functions of each sector.
Known for his excellent verbal and written communication skills, James prides himself on providing a high quality and professional service. He’s experienced in preparing development appraisals, planning applications and appeals, as well as coordinating the technical inputs of other consultants in connection with these tasks. James is also comfortable analysing and understanding planning policy and formulating appropriate planning strategies in matters relating to all areas of development management, including both urban and rural development proposals.
Outside of work, James enjoys walking, cycling, and spending time with his friends and family. On weekends, he can often be found exploring one of the many coastal paths across the southwest.
