Luke joined our Melbourne Fire Engineering team in 2014 and was promoted to manager of the section in 2018. Luke and the Fire Engineering team always strive to exceed client expectations through exploring cost saving solutions early on in design as well as timeliness of deliverables from the beginning to the end of the project. Luke’s multi-discipline knowledge greatly assists in finding building solutions which are easily implemented and coordinated with the rest of the design team, while maintaining an acceptable level of life safety.
Luke has worked on high and low rise residential, hotel, and office projects as well as retail precincts, childcare and aged care facilities, hospitals, airports, and education buildings. One of the projects he’s most proud of though is the expansion of five alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers across Victoria. Luke worked with an external project team to successfully meet a tight timeframe and deliver fire safety strategies and bushfire advice for all sites, assisting in delivering over 100 new beds to the state.
When he isn’t at work, you might find Luke at the beach or up to the ski slopes depending on the season. He hikes and camps through the national parks surrounding Melbourne, and he enjoys spending time on his parent’s farm in South Gippsland.
