Martin’s career in water and wastewater engineering started with a passion to clean up the air and water pollution he witnessed while growing up. He has more than 25 years of experience pursuing this goal through planning, design, and construction administration of infrastructure improvement projects.
Over the course of his career, Martin has provided operations, management, and technical leadership of pipeline and treatment projects. This includes condition assessments, infiltration and inflow studies, hydraulic modeling, rehabilitation, planning, design, and program management. His approach is to work with clients to help them figure out how to solve their problems, since they know their systems best.
Martin is always looking to learn something new and enjoys mentoring the next generation of professionals. Every Saturday morning, you can find him on the greenway for a long run, logging more than 16 miles (26 kilometres). Running is his meditation time—it’s when he’s able to let go of thoughts and clear his mind.
