TC strives to be a student of nature both on and off the clock. As a river design engineer and assessment lead for restoration projects in the Intermountain West, he has helped restore riparian areas in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, and has provided support on restoration projects from coast to coast. As a designer, his creativity, focus on physical and biological function, and ability to problem solve, allow him to develop effective and collaborative design solutions. From geomorphic assessments and hydraulic modeling and dam removal to hydrographic surveying and more, TC’s extensive knowledge leads to a holistic approach in every project he undertakes.
As part of the team who helped restore the Big Thompson River watershed after the devastating 2013 floods, TC led the assessment and conceptual designs of almost five miles of river habitat. He collaborated with more than 50 private landowners who were personally affected by the floods.
TC is also a member of the Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, a group that takes pride in building a culture of stewardship by organizing wildland conservation projects throughout Colorado.
