Structural Engineer

Photo of Anshuman

Every building is subject to the effects of wind and water, especially during storms or severe weather events like hurricanes, which are increasing due to climate change. Anshuman, a structural engineer, project manager, and researcher based in Miami, Florida, specializes in these impacts on structures and how to design buildings that resist them.

He develops design documentation, plans, and reports for structural projects and uses building information modeling technologies to create three dimensional models of building structural systems. His area of expertise is structural design for wind and flood along with wind engineering using computational fluid dynamics. Projects he has worked on include the North Tower of Flamingo Condominium in South Beach Miami, where he performed over 700 threshold inspections on the project. He has also worked on Shoreline 2.0, a 30-story luxury residential tower in North Miami Beach, along with 334 Street, Petersburg and Imagine Clearwater.

Anshuman graduated with his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and with his master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
