A mechanical engineer by training, James has spent his career working primarily on petroleum storage and distribution systems. These days, he’s a sector lead for our Atlantic Energy team. His group is smaller than others, but for him, that’s an advantage—it gives them great agility to meet client needs. As lead, he works on business development and client account management, but his passion is with design and project management.
When Memorial University’s boiler systems were reaching the end of their service life, James and his team were brought in to complete the replacement and upgrade. This was the third time they’d been hired by the University to work with the boiler systems, and the office had been used for every one of the University’s central plant heavy upgrades for a decade. With this new 17.5 megawatt boiler replacement, Memorial University now has a more efficient system that uses best available control technologies and the latest design methods.
In the summer, James likes to go camping, hiking, and fishing. In the winter, he and a group from the office take the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors on their snowmobiles.
