An architect licensed in Oregon and Washington, John has nearly three decades of industry experience, including nearly two decades as a façade consultant. As a principal and building science architect, he provides technical leadership on building envelope services ranging from contract document preparation and review to field review, performance testing, and condition assessments. His experience includes new construction and rehabilitation projects, across the multi-family residential, education, commercial, medical, and institutional markets.
John also serves on the board of the Portland Building Enclosure Council and is passionate about helping clients find practical solutions that address their needs while improving long‑term building durability. He is particularly interested in working with existing buildings, extending their service life through thoughtful evaluation, repair, and renewal.
Away from the office, John enjoys spending time with his family, getting out on the water to fish, following baseball, and exploring numismatic shows in search of the next big currency find.
