Civil engineering is a diverse career, and the amount of divergence in opportunity and application is what brought Emily to the field. A key member of the southeast New Mexico team, Emily focuses on projects for a major client, the City of Artesia. She believes that every job is a learning opportunity—a way to grow and gain more expertise.
Her project experience includes resolving a water quality crisis for the City of Artesia that allowed the 12,000 residents to return to tap water and halt a boil advisory. She provided valuable public presentations during contentious City Council meetings as well as translated technical data into accessible facts for the public and City decision makers. In this role, Emily helped to quickly resolve a difficult public safety crisis.
When she isn’t at work, Emily is preparing to take the FE exam or spending time with her husband and family.
