Logan Elms

Senior Associate, Senior Biologist

Photo of Logan

A senior biologist with over 13 years’ experience, Logan takes pride in his role supporting habitat preservation and remediation in California. His scope of research includes plant and animal physiology, wildlife community structure, and habitat analysis for threatened and endangered species.

Many of Logan’s projects are located in the Angeles National Forest, a 700,000 acre natural area often called “Los Angeles’ backyard.” Being an urban forest, and experiencing intense recreational use, Logan’s work is helping to mitigate the impact of construction projects in the area, returning the surrounding environment to its unmolested condition. When not in the field, he manages the preparation of Clean Water Act permits and other wetland/water delineations for local, state, and federal agencies.

It's no surprise that Logan spends much of his free time outdoors, enjoying the premier fishing and backpacking opportunities that beautiful Southern California has to offer.
