Alan has broad knowledge and experience with the architectural design and delivery process, which strongly supports his strengths in urban design. His focus on comprehending project priorities and listening to stakeholders supports and strengthens his graphically oriented, intuitive design skills.
Over the past 35 years Alan has been the project planning and design leader on multiple complex, urban mixed-use projects including residential, office, retail, and hotel components. In recent years, the integration of YMCA facilities has been a key catalyst in the development of several of those projects.
Testament to his creative skills and collaborative abilities, Alan has been invited to participate in scores of urban design/charrette projects with other planning and design professionals across Canada and internationally.
