As a principal in our Water group, Emerson works with municipalities to relieve urban flooding, enhance stormwater quality, promote green systems, and reduce combined sewer overflows. These projects are often a stimulus for broader community improvement, where he leads the integration of drinking water infrastructure, multimodal roadways, public spaces and parks, civic buildings, and newly formed conservation land.
Emerson is also a practice leader for the New England region, working with diverse teams to meet the technical, regulatory, funding, and community needs unique to each of our water and wastewater clients.
Fortunate to have family and close friends across North America and Europe, Emerson travels regularly to visit them with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors and taking in music and culture.
