David has more than 30 years of experience in the international development sector, with expertise in business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management. He provides substantive support to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) with their global portfolio of water and sanitation, clean energy, and natural resource management projects and programs in developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Before joining Stantec, David spent over two decades working on a variety of international project management and sales/new business development programs, including executing large-scale infrastructure, environmental, and engineering-focused contracts. He’s consulted for many prominent USAID implementing parties in multiple sectors and has experience in nearly every developing region of the world—over 50 countries. He speaks four languages and is a long-time active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) International Committee.
Calling on both his expertise and extensive international development network, David guides our International Development team’s long-term growth strategy. A world traveler at heart, David is also passionate about hiking, cooking, and volunteering—and rooting for the Portuguese national soccer team as they dominate on the world stage.
