Driven by a deep belief that the most exciting solutions live at the intersection of engineering and nature, Sebastião is drawn to coastal work because dynamic systems mean every problem is unique and uniquely rewarding to solve. He specializes in numerical modeling, wave and circulation analysis, sediment transport, and nature-based coastal design, applying tools such as Delft3D, XBeach, and SWAN alongside custom Python workflows.
Sebastião recent work includes leading Texas GLO CEPRA coastal restoration projects as assistant project manager and design lead. He’s also spearheading hydrodynamic modeling for a Great Lakes feasibility study and supporting FEMA flood mapping across multiple regions. His project experience spans the US and internationally across the Caribbean and Pacific.
Away from the office, Sebastião enjoys spending outdoors with his wife Alli and is currently training for an Ironman competition.
