As a principal health scientist, Brent is focused on providing health risk assessment consulting services to a diverse group of clients. He develops and oversees multidisciplinary teams who he works closely with to deliver projects and assists with recruitment, quality control, and the development and strategic growth of our work.
Brent enjoys the great diversity of the projects he works on—there is very little routine, and no two days are ever the same. He’s a passionate problem solver and loves working with strong teams to find resolutions for complicated scientific issues. Brent has also published research in various disciplines of health risk assessment on topics such as the derivation of no-effect dose thresholds for asbestos-related diseases and animal feeding studies with dioxin-containing soils to better understand oral bioavailability of dioxin in environmentally exposed humans.
With a lengthy bucket list, Brent tries to plan at least two big trips a year. During football season, he studiously follows the 49ers, (which usually leads to various forms of heartbreak and frustration when they are eliminated well before the Super Bowl).
