James is a planning director who provides a range of planning advice to both private and public sector clients. His experience includes assessing the planning potential of sites to assist with acquisition, disposal, and promotion of sites through the local plan process. He also leads the submission and negotiation of outline, detailed, and hybrid planning applications for major commercial, retail, retirement living, and residential mixed-use development schemes.
James’ projects have included the management of environmental impact assessment preparation and S106 negotiations. He strives to build consensus between planning specialists, local politicians, and other stakeholders to deliver client requirements and successful outcomes.
James has a particular interest in the commercial and industrial sector. He acts as the team lead for some of our largest employment sites and allocations in the United Kingdom, delivering flexible planning permissions for new logistics parks and distribution centers.
