As a lifelong resident of Los Angeles, Ryanna wanted to see a healthy environment reach all communities, particularly those that were historically underserved. She set out on a career path where she could improve access to safe water, green areas, and vibrant public spaces. Now an integrated water management specialist, she focuses on watershed management, community planning, and regional planning.
Ryanna helps clients balance project priorities and meet evolving mandates. One of her key roles is supporting a working group of decisionmakers in outreach efforts for major water reuse projects in LA County. She also serves as a regional coordinator for the County’s Safe, Clean Water Program, guiding governance committees to make strategic investments in multi-benefit stormwater projects. She also helps translate technical information into meaningful messaging that reaches the right audience.
Away from work, Ryanna enjoys walking her dog along the LA River and seeing how far some of the local restoration projects have come since her childhood.
