Bringing two decades of valuable experience to his work, Michael collaborates with our building design teams to complete the vital nerve centers of any building—the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems. Comparing his job to being “a bit like a flight controller on most days,” his day to day involves managing teams, running projects, advising clients, solving complicated technical problems, and mentoring staff.
Michael believes that when somebody says, “that person has experience,” what they really mean is that they know how to manage risk and anticipate problems. And that’s what he tries to do every day: build on our collective knowledge and help our clients by explaining what the options are and giving them the best advice to meet their goals.
What Michael finds the most rewarding about his career is seeing something concrete emerge after years of hard work—to see a new building sparkling and complete where before there just was a hole. Or to take an outdated hotel and transform it into a place where a community can be proud to welcome visitors and guests.
