As office lead for our Portland office, Jim is passionate about working in the renewable power industry because he believes that renewable energy is a “win-win” for all stakeholders. He has directed the successful design of 4,700 megawatts of wind generation and 100 megawatts of solar power, throughout the United States, that represents a capital investment in excess of $10 billion. But if you ask Jim, he’ll tell you that his favorite project was the Pakini Nui Wind Farm on the Big Island of Hawaii because of its challenging coastal marine environment and robust winds.
An avid runner, Jim enjoys taking a noontime run along the esplanade of Willamette River although he would like to see more bike lockers and showers in Portland’s downtown for bike commuting and noontime exercise. Jim loves to volunteer his free time for community service and his favorite local charity is the Children’s Cancer Association.
