Kaitlyn is a wellbeing and sustainability specialist with our Sustainability and Building Performance team. She has a multidisciplinary background, with an undergraduate degree in building (architectural) engineering and graduate degrees in green buildings and environmental psychology. Her passion? Kaitlyn is passionate about reducing the impact of the built environment on both human wellbeing and the natural environment.
As part of an integrated design team, Kaitlyn uses her social science and technical skills to inform designs, collaborating to create the most optimal places for people and the environment. Since joining Stantec, Kaitlyn has been working on various Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) projects across Alberta, and she’s leading the health and wellbeing portion of our first WELL Building Standard project in Canada and other health and wellbeing focused projects.
If she’s not consulting on sustainable and healthy buildings, Kaitlyn can be found trying out new plant-based recipes, re-establishing her Iyengar yoga practice, and doing many things outside, including biking with her husband and young son.
