Mayra is a chemical engineer that began her career as a water treatment engineer for a boiler manufacturer. Currently, she’s working as a process engineer in municipal and industrial water, with a focus on wastewater. She’s involved in the study, planning, and bench and pilot studies of projects. Her work is focused on maintaining, cleaning, and providing safe water to all communities.
As a process engineer, Mayra uses her love of and curiosity about engineering to investigate and understand client systems to deliver results to aid with the client’s needs. Recent projects have included Mayra helping our power clients to meet stringent effluent limitations by contributing bench and pilot studies.
During her free time, Mayra is involved with Engineers Without Borders through Stantec. She also enjoys baking and traveling with her husband.
