As the ANZ market sector leader for Transportation Delivery, Nick is responsible for understanding where our business sits in relation to transportation design and construction management activities across Australia and New Zealand. Day to day, that means meeting with clients, attending industry forums, and building strong external networks to ensure Stantec is well positioned for future work.
For more than 20 years, Nick has led the delivery of transportation projects across a broad range of technical areas. But in the last three years, he’s become more involved in projects focused on active transportation (such as walking or cycling) and complete streets. In Auckland, he led the Te Whau Pathway project, which was a recent finalist at the 2018 Architecture Festival in Amsterdam.
Nick’s goals these days are to find business development activities that grow his sector into a market-leading position and to develop resources and linkages to global capability that facilitate the transfer of best practice expertise to our local clients. When he isn’t at work, you might find him skiing, golfing, or coaching junior sports (rugby union and cricket).
