Josh has developed a skillset that blends engineering, urban design, transport planning, sustainable development, and active travel design. His role has ranged from being a developer delivering schemes or a design consultant providing technical input, to being a planning consultant working for developers or with the public sector in delivering policy and guidance that shapes developments.
Having been the engineering lead for numerous multidisciplinary projects, Josh has experience on the Waterbeach New Town, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Brightwell Lakes, and Land North of Cherry Hinton projects. Notable is his work with Suffolk County Council as lead author and project manager of the Suffolk Street Guide. This guide will act as a framework for creating communities in Suffolk, and we developed a novel approach to understanding and creating networks of footways, cycleways, and roads.
Outside of work, Josh likes bike touring, which comes hand in hand with his interest in architecture and a good local pub. Occasionally, he is also caught running or swimming.
