Sam is a chartered planner with over twelve years of experience working in both the public and private sectors. His experience in the public sector as a principal infrastructure and major projects planner has given him a great understanding of the processes and functions of local government planning offices.
Sam’s experience spans the Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA) and Development Consent Order (DCO) regimes, having engaged with the Hinkley Point C project for five years prior to joining Stantec. Sam currently leads multidisciplinary teams on key regional projects, including Gravity, and on public realm regeneration schemes. On Gravity, Sam provides planning advice and support as part of the multidisciplinary team developing the site’s re-plan through a Local Development Order (LDO) process.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing sports including rugby, cricket, football, and badminton and can often be found cycling across the hills and levels of his native Somerset.
