Rose is a geographic information system (GIS) analyst and FAA licensed part 107 pilot with three years of experience operating small unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones). Her expertise? Aerial survey planning and coordination, aerial image acquisition, and post-acquisition processing to produce a suite of cartographic products.
In her work with UAS and other remote sensing tools, Rose has implemented these technologies across several disciplines including environmental monitoring, emergency response, architecture design, and construction management. She’s also experienced in geospatial data management and quality assurance/quality control procedures. Additionally, she developed our UAS training program to empower colleagues with the skills to operate UAS and process acquired data in-house.
With a background in environmental science and planning, Rose is eager to apply her skills in GIS and aerial surveying to address community needs. In particular, she’s interested in disaster/hazard planning, natural resource management, and sustainable development.
