An environmental economist, Jon specializes in ecosystem service valuation, natural capital assessments as well as benefit-cost, economic impact, and decision analyses. He also manages projects and supports business development for various clients.
Jon has conducted natural capital assessments for government clients at federal, state, and local levels. He also has led several stated preference studies for water, sewage, and electric utilities in the Unted States and the United Kingdom. These focused on customer willingness to pay for public and private service improvements, energy-efficient products, and attributes that would increase participation in energy-efficiency programs. Currently, he’s conducting a natural capital assessment for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
Away from work, Jon enjoys listening to music and attending live performances, playing guitar, hiking and spending time outdoors, traveling, and vegetarian and vegan cooking.
