Photo of Kevin

In his final year of engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, Kevin enrolled in a class entitled “The Political and Economic Development of the Northwest Territories.” Before that class, he hadn’t known anything about the NWT. Kevin drove to Yellowknife following his graduation in 1987 and set up a tent in the campground where he stayed until the campground closed for the winter. He’s been in Yellowknife ever since.

Now he’s the managing lead for the northern Canada division of Stantec. Kevin manages the architectural and engineering aspects of infrastructure including planning, design, and project management. He works with industrial and community buildings, surface, aviation, and marine transportation infrastructure and facilities, northern fuel systems, land development, and water and sewer systems.

Kevin has served in leadership capacities for a number of volunteer community and industry boards, associations, societies, and councils including serving as President of NAPEG, Director of Engineers Canada, National Chair of the Cold Regions Engineering Division of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), and Director of the Northern Territories Water & Waste Association.
