An architect and advocate of critical thinking, Gabriel’s favorite question is “why?” followed closely by “why not?” His passion and curiosity for spatial expression began as a young artist in the forests of Colorado. This led him to study and teach at Cornell University before entering the field and focusing on design with our Buildings group.
From small, volunteer designs of schoolyards on up through hundred-million-dollar university hybrid academic centers and complex multi-building transportation and operations designs, he brings a clarity of vision for the big picture. Gabriel manages, communicates with, and leverages systems thinking across teams of specialized engineers, yet he can easily distill those topics in client-facing discussions to promote informed decisions. He also empowers designers to engage diverse perspectives and cultivate their design acumen.
When Gabriel isn’t at his desk, you can find him trail-running or sketching during his travels.
