A carpenter’s daughter, Amy is no stranger to construction and sawdust—she grew up interacting with and curious about her built environment. Today, she carries that same curiosity with her as she works as principal and operations lead in our Plano, Texas office.
Driven to motivate and inspire others, Amy is known for her superb time management skills and ability to think projects through holistically. She has more than 14 years of experience working as project architect, project manager, and principal, and she has worked on a variety of K-12, community college, and higher education projects, ranging from $2M dollars to over $100M dollars.
As operations lead, Amy is responsible for handling office operations, mentorship, staffing, and coordinating resources nationally for Plano office projects. As principal, she works closely with the client to understand needs and desires, campus standards, and user requirements to translate this information into built form. She coordinates large design teams to ensure efficient, up-to-date communication related to her projects, and she assesses and directs documentation—this includes construction methods, applicable codes, district standards, and programmatic requirements. Her goal for each project is a wildly happy client with a functional building that is aesthetically pleasing.
Outside of work, Amy loves to travel with her husband and spend time with her daughter.
