Tony is passionate about bridges. He’s worked with nearly every bridge type at every phase—planning, preliminary, and final design including technical design reviews, owner's engineer for alternative delivery projects, bridge inspection, load rating, rehab design, and construction administration. In addition to traditional bridge types, he’s worked on conceptual design, detailed design, and retrofit/rehab of complex and long span bridges.
As the vice president and corporate practice leader for bridge engineering at Stantec, Tony builds and manages project teams. His strengths lie in solving complex technical challenges, coordinating with clients, agencies, and team members, and providing oversight on major bridge projects.
Most recently, Tony has served as the program manager for the 22-firm consultant team delivering the Bridging Kentucky program—an aggressive bridge preservation and replacement initiative to address critical bridges across the state. In the program’s first two years, the team progressed nearly 380 bridges (of more than 1,100 evaluated) to construction.
Tony is actively engaged in the industry, serving on many technical organizations and industry committees/working groups for AISC/NSBA, AREMA, TRB, ACEC, and FHWA. He has also lectured in graduate-level engineering courses and participated in STEM-related outreach programs.
