Vichika considers her most prized possession to be her degree—she has a passion for engineering and problem solving and loves the challenges and rewards of her profession. Recognizing the strong technical background, critical thinking, and attention to detail that are needed to solve traffic engineering problems, Vichika has leveraged the wisdom she’s gained from her professional mentors over the last twelve years to succeed.
Although all of her traffic operations and safety assignments have been memorable, Vichika’s most rewarding project involved providing safety evaluation services for Prince George’s County in Maryland to meet the residents’ need for guide rail. By leaving the office and meeting the community in their homes, schools, and churches, Vichika and her team were able to develop creative solutions that fit within the project’s policies and procedures.
When Vichika isn’t improving her community through engineering initiatives, she can be found visiting farmer’s markets and cooking with her two-year-old.
