With over two decades of experience, Angela is dedicated to advancing Indigenous-led monitoring and equitable impact assessment for major resource projects across North America. She began her career in 2005 working alongside Indigenous monitors conducting surveys of potential flood areas for the Manitoba Hydro Conowapa Run-of-River Generating Station, later leading post-construction monitoring and reclamation of pipelines across western Canada. Her interest in environmental assessment grew from the need for equitable mitigation planning and monitoring programs alongside Indigenous peoples.
Angela has led Indigenous monitoring programs, Indigenous economic participation plans, and impact assessments of several energy projects on the west coast subject to the Impact Assessment Act and British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Act. She continues to serve as the technical lead for major resource development projects across Canada and has participated in several written hearings and provided testimony as an expert witness before the Canada Energy Regulator.
When she’s not in her office, you can find Angela running or biking down to the river for a float with her daughter.
