Kun helps clients understand how interactions between rock and water shape environmental outcomes. A geochemist and geochemistry team lead, she supports mining and environmental projects across Canada.
In her position, Kun combines geochemical investigation with predictive water quality modeling to guide mine waste management, facility design, and closure planning. Her expertise in acid rock drainage, metal leaching, and contaminant transport supports projects from mine development and operations through closure and remediation. She translates complex science into practical advice that helps clients anticipate water quality changes, evaluate management options, and protect groundwater and surface water. Kun also enjoys mentoring colleagues and collaborating across disciplines to solve challenging environmental problems.
Outside work, Kun enjoys hot yoga, outdoor activities, travelling the world, and spending time with her family.
