Jay applies his experience in water resources engineering to finding innovative ways to improve our natural resources for future generations. As a Stantec engineer, his responsibilities include design and modeling for numerous types of projects with regard to non-point source pollutant treatment, stormwater management, low impact development, erosion and sediment control, traffic control, and other hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
In his work, he’s performed design and project management duties for stormwater management, utilities/infrastructure, and roadway projects. Jay understands the intricacies of stormwater permitting, having assisted with the Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES), Virginia stormwater management program (VSMP) permitting, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and other forms of regulatory permitting support.
Beyond Jay’s love for engineering, he’s an avid outdoorsman and golfer who enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
